7-mode/HA pair/V-Series : vFiler Units : Configuring vFiler units : Deleting a vFiler unit

Deleting a vFiler unit
You can delete or destroy a vFiler unit and return storage resources back to the hosting storage system.
Before you begin
Before you delete a vFiler unit, you must unmap any LUNs that are mapped to the vFiler unit's storage and stop the vFiler unit. When there are multiple vFiler units in an IPspace, ensure that no routes used by other vFiler units are associated with the vFiler unit that you want to delete. Otherwise, deleting the vFiler unit makes the other vFiler units in the IPspace inaccessible.
Steps
1.
From Home, double-click the appropriate storage system to display a subtree of management features.
2.
Click vFiler units.
3.
Select a vFiler unit that is stopped and click Delete.
The system displays a confirmation window.
4.
Select the check box and click Delete.
